TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
This morning we have clear skies across the whole IE. Although there is some haze in the Valley, but nothing substantial.
..Today and Tomorrow we will continue to have warm temperatures for the mountain areas. This is due to a Ridge of High pressure over the South West. Temperatures should peak Monday before a cooling trend begins.
..Tuesday an area of Low pressure will move into the Pac-NW. This will strengthen the onshore flow locally and help the Marine to push Inland for Tuesday and Wednesday. However, a Subtropical area of High pressure will develop over Texas and Northern Mexico and expand West into the Desert South West mid week. This will bring in a warmer air mass along with higher temperatures and probably higher humidity to our area for the latter part of next week.

..Then for the final finally of June, the forecast charts this morning bring the remnants of a Tropical system into SoCal for June 30th. this may be the first signs of the Monsoon Season locally. On the 500mb Vorticity chart it shows strong vertical lift on the 30th and July 1st over our area so there will be a chance for local Thunderstorms if this does develop as shown.
..Have a good day and weekend. RC @ www.lakegregoryweather.com.

..As we head into Fire Season please use caution in all mountain areas. Also I will begin today posting the Fire Danger levels on the bottom of this page also check the wx alerts page for an in depth look at the local fire weather..(Website)

Crestline-81/47*, Twin Peaks-77/51*, Lk Arrowhead-80/54*, Running Springs-74/55*, Big Bear-70/38*, GVL-72/45*, San Berdo-86/55*, Wtrmn Cyn-77/50*.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
