TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
Good Morning.
Hope all you Fathers out there had a nice day yesterday!
..Today we have a fairly deep Marine layer up against the bottom of the hill. Around 2700’ deep. Above that, we have clear skies. Today’s temperatures will be a little cooler as an upper level Trough passes over SoCal. Gusty winds can be expected this afternoon and early evening. There is a chance for some cumulus clouds to build up over the local Ridges as the Trough passes through the area. Maybe even a T-Storm in the interior areas along the Desert and mountain slopes this afternoon.
..Tuesday and Wednesday, an area of High pressure now over the Eastern Pacific at 594dm, will expand over SoCal bringing in slightly warmer temperatures and a weakening of the Marine layers influence to the inland areas. This will be short lived as another Trough will push through the West for Thursday and Friday.
..Thursday a 554dm Trough of Low pressure will begin to affect SoCal as it moves through the West. We will be under this trough through Saturday before it moves East. Cooler Temperatures along with a deepening Marine layer once again will be the Forecast through Saturday. Sunday looks a little warmer but another Trough is in store for Monday and Tuesday. So basically, we will be in a continues Troughing pattern with weak High pressure moving in from time to time. Temperatures will remain cool with afternoon and evening gusty winds through the period.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.
