At 2:55 p.m. on May 25th, 2018 the California Highway Patrol received reports of a solo motorcycle accident on Highway 18. The location given was on Highway 18 at Upper Waterman but the actual accident occurred just below Panorama point in the S curves.
Motorists on the highway stopped and assisted the rider until emergency crews arrived. The motorcycle rider was transported by ambulance. He had minor injuries including a shoulder injury. No tow truck was needed to clear the accident. A friend was able to ride the motorcycle home from the scene of the crash.
The roadway was clear as of 3:25 p.m..
