This is a really nice, basic crab dip recipe. It’s perfect for a picnic lunch, potlucks, or as an appetizer for your next BBQ. You can serve this crab dip with a variety of dippers; Ritz crackers, water crackers, and/or veggie platter offerings like baby tomatoes, carrot sticks, celery sticks, or even broccoli!

This recipe comes in at the mild end of the zesty scale, so if you like things a little hotter, go ahead and throw in some extra hot sauce or a pinch or cayenne pepper. Enjoy!

Crab Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup cooked crab meat – flaked

½ cup mayonnaise

½ cup sour cream

3 tbsp. red onion – minced

1 tsp. dill – dried and crushed

1 tsp. fresh lemon zest

1 tsp. fresh lemon juice

2 – 3 drops hot sauce

Salt & pepper

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayo, sour cream, minced red onion, dried crushed dill, fresh lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, and hot sauce, mixing well to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Transfer the crab mix to your serving dish, then cover and chill the dip for at least 2 hours (or up to 24 hours). Serve, chilled, with your favorite dippers.
