TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..CLEAR skies are everywhere this morning! No FOG along or below the Rim!
..The general trend is the West will remain under an upper level long wave Trough through the next five days.
..Today and Saturday we will have drier and warmer weather for the SoCal area as there are no short waves of moisture moving through the area. We may see some cumulus clouds this afternoon build over the local ridges but no rain is expected in the two day forecast. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s to low 60s with overnight lows in the upper 30s to low 40s below 6300′ Above that, Highs will be in the 50s during the day and in the low to mid 30s at night. Saturday afternoon we should see an increase in the winds locally as we begin a change in the weather again.
..Sunday, a cold core Low will slide South along the West Coast of California. This will being a chance for more showers Sunday into the evening, and for early Monday morning. Snow levels will be around the 6500′ level with rain below that. Rainfall amounts will be under .50″ locally with snowfall amounts above the 6500′ level of 1-2″. Monday morning the Low will be positioned over the Las Vegas area and heading East.
..For Wednesday through the next five to seven days, we should be clear and warmer as a Zonal flow will develop across the West.
..On the long Range outlook, we should finally break out of this pattern completely around next Saturday as a Ridge will slowly develop along the West Coast.
..Have a safe Holiday weekend. We will have a variety of weather over the four day weekend so plan accordingly. *RC
..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.
..That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
