Today’s Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:

Good Morning.
For today, fog will continue to shroud the Rim areas from around 1k’-4500′. Temperatures will be close to yesterdays with highs from the mid 60s to low 70s. The marine layer is running about 3500′ thick currently, (5am) so be sure to plan accordingly in you are headed down the hill on the local Hwys. A Cut Off Low at 570mbs will move onshore affecting all of SoCal for the next few days. This Low will remain fairly stationary over the Central California region through Saturday night. Cooler temperatures and a deeper Marine layer will bring drizzle and a slight chance for light sprinkles in the mornings through Saturday, for the Valley, and Coastal Mountain areas. The Low will move out of the area on Sunday. Temperatures will warm up quite a bit for Monday and Tuesday along with North East winds for a period, as the back side of the departing Low moves through. Away from the Rim, temperatures will be seasonal with gusty winds at times. Mostly clear skies above the 5500′ level can be expected locally. RC
