At 12:50 pm, multiple calls went into CHP dispatchers reoporting a solo vehicle rollover that landed back on its wheels. The location given was mile marker 21 just north of Angelous Oaks Country Market on Highway 38.
A good Samaritan reportedly stopped on scene to assist with traffic control and check on injuries. The male occupant was able to get out of the vehicle on his own and reported no injuries. A Chevy Silverado dually was apparently traveling upbound on Highway 38 when for unknown reasons clipped the side of the mountain with its back wheels. This caused it to overturn, landing in and blocking upbound lanes. CHP as well as Sheriff Units and tow trucks were enroute to the incident by 1:00 pm and by 2:00 pm, the roadway was clear.
