Two Vehicle Accident Blocks Traffic on San Moritz Drive

At 2:20 pm, the California Highway Patrol received reports of a two vehicle, non-injury accident. The location given was on San Moritz Drive near Berne Drive in Crestline.

According to statements made at the scene, a Honda CR-V was traveling upbound on the narrow residential road and a Hyundai Sonata was traveling downbound. As the Hyundai was passing the CR-V, the driver side of the Hyundai sideswiped the entire length of the Honda. The entire rear suspension was ripped out from under the small SUV during the collision.

There were no injuries reported during the accident, but AAA was not able to provide a tow truck until approximately 7:00 pm. The disabled Honda was left blocking traffic for hours. By 7:10 pm, the roadway was finally clear. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
