Rider Sent to the Hospital After Motorcycle Accident on Highway 38

At 4:20 p.m. on November 17th 2018 a call went in to 911 of a solo motorcycle traffic collision on Highway 38 in Barton flats.

Medical crews from the Angelus Oaks Station and Big Bear City arrived on scene and found one patient down in lanes. Medic Ambulance 282 from the Big Bear City Fire Department transferred one patient to Bear valley community hospital with moderate injuries.

Highway 38 was closed at mile marker 22 with alternating traffic for approximately one hour. A friend who was riding with the victim watched as he went around the curve and the bike went down.

The California Highway patrol released the motorcycle to his friend. The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time. Updates on the rider are not available at this time.
