Join the fun on April 20, 2019 enjoying a day filled with activities including an Easter Egg Hunt, pictures with the Easter Bunny, Food, Games and an Artisan Market, at beautiful Lake Gregory, and we haven’t even gotten to the Derby itself yet.

The Annual Duck Derby has become a favorite of the community. The San Bernardino Fire Department starts the Derby by sending the Ducks entered, down a slide into the lake with the help of their fire hose, once in the lake the race is on. Participants and spectators cheer their Rubber Duck entries on, in hopes to capture the $1000 first place prize. While the second place winner takes home $500 and the third place winner receives a handsome $250. Don’t worry if your Duck just isn’t up to the challenge of the race there is a LAME duck prize for last place of $100. You can adopt a Duck to enter in this event for $5 or adopt a family of 5 Ducks for $20. Participants can adopt as many Ducks as they like and the more Ducks you enter only increases your chance to win the prize money!

The money raised at this event by Crestline Chamber of Commerce go to support The Mountain Communities Boys and Girls Club and Lake Gregory’s Independence Day Fireworks.

Ducks can be adopted at the following locations:

  • Goodwin and Sons Market

  • RIM Bowling Center

  • Ace Hardware

  • The Senior Thrift Store in Top Town

  • Crestline Chamber on line at www.crestlinechamber.com
