At approximately 6:53 a.m. on August 22nd, multiple reports went in to 911 stating a vehicle rolled over and caught fire on Highway 18 and Holcomb Valley, just east of Big Bear City. Crews from Engine 282, Water Tender 282, Medic Ambulance 282, and Cal Fire Engine 3558 arrived on the scene to find a solo vehicle overturned and fully engulfed in flames.

The fire from that vehicle spread into vegetation, holding at a 5×5 spot. Two minor injuries were reported, with one patient being transported for medical attention. AND Auto recovered the vehicle. Highway 18 was closed for a short period while the fire was put out and the vehicle recovered. California Highway Patrol will be conducting their investigation.
